VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - GET INVOLVED. All you need is patience and a pleasant manner and be 18 years or older. They are looking for:
*Greeters - to hand out programs
*Bankers/Runners - making change for performers & vendors & exchanging bills/change from the info booth to the banker
*Environment - maintain the cleanliness of the site
*Floater - assist where needed
*Information Booth - answer questions, handle lost & found and host kids centre
*Performance Circle - assist performers with their equipment set up/take down
*Volunteer Services - assist with volunteer sign in & out.
*Many other positions.

ART GALLERY OF GRANDE PRAIRIE
April 30 - 36th Annual Art Auction - Teresa Sargent Hall (Montrose Cultural Centre) 9839 103 Avenue.

The Art Auction is an exclusive look at specially selected, original artworks created by local, regional and national artists. They are pleased to present outstanding works of art with a silent auction on display throughout the night and an exciting live auction, entertainment with special guest host, Danny Hooper. The evening begins with a champagne reception and a selection of wines, scotch and artisan beers to suit your taste. RELAY FOR LIFE - Volunteers needed. The Canadian Cancer Society is seeking enthusiastic committee volunteers to organize and execute their Relay For Life event on June 3, 2016! Various positions are available, including team recruitment, volunteer coordination, entertainment, and event logistics.
As a Relay For Life committee volunteer you will collaborate with Society staff and community members to raise awareness and funds for the fight against all cancers!
They are looking for individuals with leadership, communication and organizational skills with the ability to motivate and engage volunteers and engage event stakeholders. The time commitment for this role is 4-10 hours per month, which includes a monthly or bi-monthly committee meeting and role-specific work done throughout the month. You must also be available on the day of the event. Screening for these roles includes an application form, reference checks and an interview. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to enhance their skills while giving back to the community!

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Q What is Phase I?
A 101 Street from 99 Avenue to 103 Avenue.

Q What will they be doing?
A Utilities (water, storm, sanitary, sidewalks, curb & gutter, roads, street furniture, planters, street lights.

Q How will traffic flow be affected?
A Detour routes will be set up and signed around the construction area.

Q What about the intersections?
A The intersection on 101 Street & 99 Avenue will remain open with (1) lane eastbound.
The intersection on 101 Street & 100 Avenue will remain open with (1) lane westbound.
The intersections will be closed for tie-ins only during brief non peak times.

Q How will people access my business?
A Your business will be visited by the contractor to determine your access needs.
Sidewalks will remain open on both sides during the utilities installation.
Sidewalk closures will take place only on one side of the street at a time.
The contractor is required to maintain access to businesses and buildings at all times.

Q Can traffic use the alleys?
A Yes, there will be a Traffic Accommodation Plan prepared.
