CHILDREN’S FESTIVAL of FINE ARTS - Local performers (some professional) will sing, dance, act in front of students ages 5-12 during a three day period in JUNE 2017. Plays, musical performances, creative dance, arts & crafts, similar to that of the St. Albert Festival. The Festival would take place at the Library, Creative Art Centre, GPLT and Muskoseepi.

CENSUS - The next Canada census will take place in May 2016. Statistics Canada will be hiring approximately 35,000 people across the country to assist in the collection of the census. This is a job opportunity. Census information is important for all communities and is vital for planning services such as schools, daycare, family services, housing, police services, fire protection, roads, public transportation and skills training for employment. June - Downtown beautifies with the installation of hanging flower baskets, planters and banners.

June 18 - Sizzling Summer Sidewalk Sale - street displays, demonstrations and sales tables will make shopping, browsing, or just wandering a delight. 100 Avenue will be closed for vehicular traffic from 99 Street to 102 Street.

July 1 - Canada Day Parade - Proud to be Canadian - red & white abound Downtown. Contact Muskoseepi Park for entry forms.

July 22-23-24 - Street Performers Festival - Professional entertainers make the street a wonderland of awe inspiring activity. If you wish to volunteer - give the DTA a call 780-538-1909.

Oct. 29 - Halloween Party - Starts at 11a.m. - Teresa Sargent Hall, Montrose Cultural Centre.

Nov. 18 - Vegas Night - cut the cards, spin the wheel, roll the dice for discounts. It’s no gamble at all. (Open until 11:00pm)

Dec. 4 - Santa Parade - Experience the wonder & joy of Christmas. Entry forms available from DTA office.

Dec. 5 - 23 - Elf On The Shelf - Look for Elf in participating stores and enter to win a DT Gift Card for $100 each week and (1) $500 gift card from all entries submitted during the month. Draw will be made December 22.

Dec. 5 - 23 - Mary Christmas - Mary will be walking throughout the downtown handing out gift cards from downtown businesses.
